Bas de Leede and Teja Nidamanuru played quick cameos to take his side to a respectable total of 272 runs. Aayan Khan picked up three wickets, whereas Simranjeet Kang took a couple of wickets.
In response, the UAE lost two early wickets of Sagar Kalyan and Vriitya Aravind. Aryansh Sharma made 42 runs off 49 balls, including eight fours. Captain Rahul Chopra failed to score and made a 15-ball-11.
Alishan Sharafu fought back with 58 off 65 balls. The UAE were eventually bowled out for 159 runs. Hence, they lost the match by a big margin of 113 runs.
Vivian Kingma and Kyle Klein took a couple of wickets, whereas Paul van Meekeren took three wickets. He was the standout performer for the Netherlands. He finished with the bowling figures of 8-2-24-3.
Now, the United Arab Emirates will face Scotland on Thursday, whereas the Netherlands with also take on Scotland at the same venue on Saturday, 10 May.
