What a sad end to Pakistan's innings in this match against Ireland. After a fightback in the middle-overs, the hosts' innings derailed as they slipped from 175-4 to 202-8. They are eventually bowled out for 217 in 49 overs.

That's some way to begin chasing a target of 245. A boundary off the third ball, but youngster Qiana Joseph falls prey to Darcey Carter, who takes a fine catch. Joseph departs for a duck. WI-W don't stop on their aggressive tracks, however, hitting two boundaries in the very next over.

West Indies Women are on their last legs now. Afy Fletcher is the latest victim of Scotland's spin attack, with Katherine Fraser getting her second of the day.

Hayley Matthews, who was forced to leave the field earlier due to an injury, hits a boundary off the very next ball. But she is unable to complete her century, and again retires hurt.

That's not the end of Fraser, though, who roars back by dismissing Karishma Ramharack for a golden duck, and Windies are nine down now. Matthews is forced to come back to the pitch so that Windies can carry on.

Ireland lose two wickets in two overs, Christina Coulter Reilly being the first victim, falling to Diana Baig. Then it's Sadia Iqbal, who gets her second wicket of the day by dismissing Orla Prendergast, who was beginning to settle in. Ireland need a miracle to come back from this position.

As far as last-wicket stands go, Hayley Matthews and Aaliyah Alleyne are doing excellent. The injured skipper and the tail ender has added 20 runs in the last two overs. WI-W now need 18 runs from 30 balls. They surely can't, can they?

Despite a valiant effort from Matthews and Alleyne, Pakistani spinners prove too much for the tail ender. Maqsood gets Alleyne out with a leg-before, bringing an end to her 17-run knock.

West Indies Women skipper Hayley Matthews gets a well-deserved Player of the Match award, scoring a century under difficult conditions. However, it will be a bittersweet result for her, considering the narrow loss.

Diana Baig, who was Pakistan's hero with the ball by taking four wickets, earned the Player of the Match award.
