The Sri Lanka Women's National Cricket team are ready to take a trip down to New Zealand for the bilateral series comprising three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) starting on March 4, 2025, at the McLean Park in Napier. (More Cricket News)
The ODI series will be followed by the T20I series starting on March 14, in Christchurch.
Chamari Athapaththu will lead Sri Lanka, while Suzie Bates will captain New Zealand in Sophie Devine's absence due to injury.
This will be Sri Lanka's first international outing of 2025. Interestingly, their last match was also against New Zealand in the group stage of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in December which they lost by 8 wickets.
Also for the White Ferns, this marks their first international match of the year. They last played in December, suffering a 2-0 defeat in the three-match ODI series against Australia.
