Cricket, as they say, is a religion in India and just like that, the start of the Women's Premier League (WPL) has also etched its place in the hearts of many Indian cricket fans. The Google Doodle features two birds, apparently ducks, engaged in a cricket match and surrounded by a vast, green field, stumps, bat and a ball. If you manage to click on the animated graphic, it takes you to an interactive 'Mini Cup' game, created especially for the WPL 2025.
If you take your cursor (from your desktop) onto the graphic, it reads with the caption, "Women's Premier League 2025 begins!'
Speaking of the WPL 2025, the opening match of the much-awaited tournament sees Gujarat Giants (GG) taking on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Vadodara on Friday, February 14.
This year, the tournament will be held across four cities - Vadodara, Lucknow, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
