Olmo converted from the penalty spot to score his seventh league goal of the season before limping off the pitch in the 28th minute of Thursday's match.

Barca's victory, in a match that was rescheduled from earlier this month following the death of club doctor Carles Minarro Garcia, took them three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid in LaLiga.

But they could now be without Olmo for a crucial run of fixtures, including a Champions League quarter-final double header against Borussia Dortmund.

A medical update released by the club on Friday said: "Tests conducted this morning have confirmed that first-team player Dani Olmo has a right adductor injury.

"He is expected to be out for around three weeks."

The Blaugrana host Girona in their next league match on Sunday, before visiting Atletico for the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday, with that tie poised at 4-4 following the first meeting in Catalonia.

They are at home in the first leg of their European tie against Dortmund on April 9, before going to Germany for the return fixture six days later.

Olmo has scored eight goals and supplied five assists in all competitions this campaign, having arrived in a €60million move from RB Leipzig last August.
