Based in Imphal, Manipur, Classic FA made a strong start to their Season 4 campaign with a 5-0 win over Todo United FC and maintained steady form throughout. Their performances have earned attention for their discipline and growth, as the team steadily advanced through the competition.

"I'm very happy for the boys and also want to give the credit to RFDL for giving them a platform to improve themselves with highly competitive game time," said Head Coach Chandam Chitrasen Singh. "This will only help in their growth and prepare them for senior-level competitions."

After finishing joint-top in the Rest of India group alongside Jamshedpur FC in the Regional Qualifiers, Classic FA entered the Zonal Group Stage against heavyweights like NorthEast United FC, Shillong Lajong FC, Aizawl FC, and Jamshedpur FC again.

Their consistency earned them a second-place finish, punching their ticket to the National Group Stage in Mumbai.

“India is a vast country, and travelling from the Northeast can sometimes feel like going to a different country altogether,” said Chitrasen. “Playing in Mumbai, with its contrasting weather, was already a challenge. Facing top sides like Mohun Bagan and Dempo only helped the players learn and adapt more.”

Despite a loss in their opening match to Muthoot FA, Classic FA bounced back well. Wins against Sreenidi Deccan FC, Dempo SC, and Mumbai City FC, followed by a goalless draw against Mohun Bagan Super Giant, ensured they topped Group B and advanced to the semi-finals of the U-21 competition.

Their performance has also secured them a spot in the Premier League Next Generation Cup presented by Reliance Foundation, where they’ll face youth sides from the UK.

When Is Classic FA's Next Match?

Classic FA will face FC Goa in the semi-finals on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Reliance Corporate Park in Mumbai.
