Nine, potentially 10, teams can secure their FIFA World Cup 2026 places from the CAF Qualifiers, but several big teams will fight for places, including Nigeria and South Africa, Ivory Coast and Gabon, and others.
Algeria And Egypt Look To Secure Top Spots
Algeria and Egypt, both top of their groups in Group G and A respectively, will look to secure their positions with a win on the last day of Matchday 6. Egypt, led by Mohamed Salah, will take on a Sierra Leone team featuring 40-year-old forward Kei Kamara.

They will take on Zimbabwe, and it will be a must-win game for the Super Eagles, led by William Troost-Ekong. They will look towards their in-form forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman to get early leads in the game.
Similarly, Senegal, third in Group B, will also look to get into the qualifying places with a win against Togo. Kalidou Koulibaly and Co. have been unbeaten for a two-year period – one of the longest win streaks in the world – but will look to convert their draws into wins to secure a World Cup place.
