Igor Tudor's side broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, as Gonzalez superbly drilled home from 25 yards out.

Kolo Muani missed a glaring opportunity to double the lead, but made no mistake in the 33rd minute, taking Khephren Thuram's pass into his stride and slotting past Monza goalkeeper Stefano Turati.
