He will also leverage his extensive network to aid in scouting top talent and contribute to the training and development of coaches.

A Press Conference is set to take place on Tuesday, 14 January 2025 in Salzburg, Austria. Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO of Corporate Projects and Investments at Red Bull, and Klopp will comment on his new role.

Who Is Jurgen Klopp?

Jurgen Norbert Klopp, born on 16 June 1967 in Stuttgart, is a German football executive and former manager and player, most recently managing Premier League club Liverpool. He is widely regarded as one of the best football managers in the world.

Since 1 January 2025, Klopp has served as the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH. Klopp spent most of his playing career at Mainz 05, initially as a striker before transitioning to defense.

Upon retiring as a player in 2001, he became the club's manager and secured Bundesliga promotion in 2004. After suffering relegation in the 2006/07 season and being unable to achieve promotion, Klopp resigned in 2008 as Mainz라이브 바카라 longest-serving manager.

He subsequently became the manager of Borussia Dortmund, leading the team to the Bundesliga title in the 2010/11 season and achieving Dortmund라이브 바카라 first-ever domestic double in a record-breaking campaign.

Klopp also guided Dortmund to a runner-up finish in the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League before departing in 2015, once again as the club라이브 바카라 longest-serving manager.

In 2015, Klopp was appointed as Liverpool라이브 바카라 manager. During his tenure, he led the club to UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2022, winning the trophy in 2019 to secure his first—and Liverpool라이브 바카라 sixth—title in the competition.

Under Klopp, Liverpool finished second in the 2018/19 Premier League season with 97 points, the then third-highest total in the history of the English top division and the highest ever by a team without winning the title.

The following season, Klopp led Liverpool to victory in the UEFA Super Cup and the club라이브 바카라 first FIFA Club World Cup, before delivering Liverpool라이브 바카라 first Premier League title in 2020. The team amassed a club-record 99 points while breaking several top-flight records.

These achievements earned Klopp back-to-back FIFA Coach of the Year awards in 2019 and 2020. Additionally, he secured a domestic cup double with the EFL Cup and FA Cup in 2022 and won another EFL Cup in 2024.

Klopp is a notable advocate of "Gegenpressing," a tactical system where the team, after losing possession, immediately attempts to regain the ball rather than retreating to regroup.

He has described his teams as playing "heavy metal football," characterized by high pressing and attacking intensity. Klopp has credited Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi and former Mainz coach Wolfgang Frank as key influences on his approach.

Throughout his managerial career, Klopp has emphasized the importance of emotion in football, earning both admiration and notoriety for his passionate touchline celebrations.
