Indian Super League: Mohun Bagan Super Giant Pip Odisha FC 1-0, Retain Shield

An injury-time goal from Dimitrios Petratos handed Mohun Bagan Super Giant a 1-0 win against Odisha FC at Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday (February 23), crowning them with the Indian Super League Shield title again. MBSG had claimed the shield, which is awareded to the team with the most points at the end of the league phase, last season as well. The Mariners thus became the first team in the ISL to defend the ISL League Winners title. After this triumph, they moved to 52 points, gaining an unassailable lead over second-placed FC Goa, who have bagged 42 points with three games to spare. The Jose Molina-coached team sealed this victory after 16 victories and four draws while recording their sixth consecutive clean sheet — the most ever by a team in the competition.
