It's a pulsating start to the match, as the Dragons earn a penalty corner in just 27 seconds of play. Jip Janssen takes the drag flick and earns a re-award, but the Lancers refer it. Their review is upheld, but the PC stands surprisingly. No harm done though, as Janssen's next flick goes wide of goal.

Two green cards have been shown inside the first 12 minutes. Lancers captain Aran Zalewski was the first one to get the two-minute banishing, and Dragons' forward Uttam Singh is the next to be carded for a foul on Thomas Sorsby. 

After a small breather, the second quarter is underway with the scoreline still reading 0-0. No genuine goal-scoring opportunities have been generated yet, and both sides will look to change that before half time.

An inch-perfect drag-flick from Alexander Hendrickx hands the Lancers a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. After a number of failed attempts, the hosts finally get it right and the roar in Rourkela is to be heard to be believed.

The second quarter comes to an end, and it's the Lancers who head into the interval with the advantage as well as momentum. The Dragons could well make a comeback in the third quarter, so stay tuned.

The tourists have upped their game in the third quarter. A much closer contest now in terms of attacking exchanges, with the Dragons penetrating Lancers' circle far more regularly now. And they are rewarded soon with an equaliser, as Tom Craig scores a field goal to outfox Krishan Bahadur Pathak.

The Dragons' star drag-flicker Jip Janssen has scored his first. His shot takes a deflection en route the Lancers goal, which helps it beat 'keeper Pathak. The scoreline stands at 2-2 now, with five minutes and change on the clock.

The Lancers had a golden opportunity to close out the match in the final minute, but they squander it and the match, drawn at 2-2, will now head to a penalty shootout to determine who gets the bonus point.
