What Is Rookie Patch Autograph (RPA)?

A Rookie Patch Autograph (RPA) card is a highly sought-after collectible featuring a game-worn jersey piece from a player's rookie season, along with their autograph.

Typically found in high-end trading card sets, these cards are limited in number, with variations like parallels and 1-of-1s making them even rarer and more valuable.

RPAs are most commonly associated with NBA, NFL, MLB, and even WNBA rookies. Their value is influenced by factors such as the player's popularity, the patch quality, and the card's grade.

Some of the most expensive RPAs ever sold include LeBron James' 2003 Upper Deck Exquisite RPA and Patrick Mahomes' 2017 National Treasures RPA, which have fetched millions of dollars.
