The 20-year-old boxer from Jhajjar, Haryana, Gulia, claimed the top spot on the podium at the 2025 World Boxing Cup after his opponent, Odel Kamara, handed him a walkover in the final.

As the first Indian to reach the final at the 2025 World Boxing Cup, Gulia secured India라이브 바카라 only gold medal at the event. Earlier, he had defeated French Olympian Makan Traore with a dominant 5-0 unanimous decision in the semifinals.

A sailor with the Indian Navy, Gulia has consistently impressed at the national level in recent times. He first clinched a gold medal at the Senior National Boxing Championships and followed it up with another gold at the 38th Uttarakhand National Games, showcasing his growing dominance in the sport.

“The camp helped me learn a few tactical nuances that helped me a lot in the competition. This tournament has provided us fantastic exposure at the highest level and I am happy that I could grab the gold medal,” said Hitesh.

Abhinash Jamwal, the other Indian boxer in the tournament, was short in the men's 65kg final against Yuri Reis. Jamwal lost via a unanimous 0-5 verdict and settled for the silver medal.

With this, India's 2025 World Boxing Cup campaign ended. It also represented the first international tournament for the Indian boxers since their poor outing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Overall, India's boxers brought home one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals from the competition.
