Tom Latham has been ruled out of the upcoming Chemist Warehouse ODI series against Pakistan with a fractured right hand.

Latham was struck on the hand by a delivery while batting in the nets during training this week, with an X-ray revealing the fracture which will require a cast and at least four weeks rest and rehabilitation.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead confirmed Henry Nicholls would replace Latham in the squad, with current T20I captain Michael Bracewell to continue to lead in the ODIs.

Emma Raducanu's promising run at the Miami Open came to a close with a narrow quarter-final defeat to world number four Jessica Pegula. Despite requiring medical treatment during the match, the 22-year-old Briton managed to level the contest before Pegula regained control, ultimately winning 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 6-2. In the second set, Raducanu showcased some of her best tennis since winning the 2021 US Open as a teenager.
