Marvel Studios, on March 26, officially announced that Avengers Doomsday's production has kicked off. They also revealed an impressive lineup of cast, with familiar faces returning from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) alongside some new faces.

The old cast who would be making a comeback to Avengers Doomsday include Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Wyatt Russell (US Agent), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova).
The film will also see X-Men stars Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), James Marsden (Cyclops), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), and Channing Tatum (Gambit).
Kelsey Grammer will reprise his role as Beast McCoy, from X-Men The Last Stand.
The newly-cast members of The Fantastic Four will also be part of the upcoming MCU film, which include Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing).
Also, Thunderbolts' Lewis Pullman (Bob/Sentry), Danny Ramirez (Falcon), Tenoch Huerta (Namor), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), and David Harbour (Red Guardian) will join the star-studded cast.
Avengers Doomsday was first unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024. It revealed that Robert Downey Jr, who played Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU, would play Dr Victor von Doom.
Russo Brothers- Joe and Anthony Russo, who earlier helmed Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, have returned to direct Avengers Doomsday.
Avengers Doomsday is all set to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026.
