Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu have team up for a Tamil film titled Maareesan. On Monday, the makers announced that the film will hit theatres in July, alongside a new poster featuring the two actors.
From the intense poster, we get a hint that there will be a face-off between Fahadh and Vadivelu. The latter's face is bruised and both are seen staring at each other.
The release date of Maareesan is yet to be revealed. As per a report in OTT Play, the film will be available to stream on OTT giant Netflix post-theatrical release.
Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the film is backed by RB Choudary under his banner Super Good Films.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer, Kalaiselvan Sivaji is the cinematographer and and editing is done by Sreejith Sarang.
The film marks the reunion of Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu after their 2023 film, Maamannan. Both were raved for their impeccable performances.
Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the political drama also featured Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.
