On the occasion of Telugu star Ram Charan's 40th birthday, makers of his 16th film unveiled the title and first-look posters. Ram Charan's RC16 is now titled Peddi. The Buchi Babu Sana directorial stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
In the first-look poster of Peddi, the RRR actor sported a menacing look, with intense gaze, beard, messy hair and a nose ring. He is seen in a red and black striped shirt and smokes a cigar.
The second poster shows him holding an old cricket bat, with a rustic village stadium in the background.
Sharing the posters, the director wrote, “Happy Birthday my Dear @AlwaysRamCharan Sir..In one word you are Gold Sir. Tqq for everything Sir.”
Janhvi Kapoor's birthday wish for Ram Charan
Janhvi, who is sharing the same screen space with Ram Charan for the first time, took to her Instagram handle to wish him on birthday. Sharing the first look posters of her co-star, she captioned them, “Happy Birthday Sir'' followed by emojis.
Peddi Cast And Team
Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma, among others in key roles. It has been written and helmed by Buchi Babu Sana and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru.
AR Rahman will give the music, while the cinematography will be handled by R Rathnavelu, and editing by Navin Nooli.
On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in S. Shankar's Game Changer, with Kiara Advani, while Janhvi's last outing was Devara with Jr NTR.
