Veteran Kannada comedy actor Bank Janardhan breathed his last at the early hours on Monday, April 14, at a private hospital in Bengaluru, as per a report in Times of India. He had been battling prolonged illness and was admitted due to multi-organ complications.
Due to age-related ailments, recently, he had been admitted to Manipal Hospital.
He passed away at around 2:30 am due to health complications.
Born in 1948 in Bengaluru라이브 바카라 Sultanhalli (Sulthanpalya), Bank Janardhan appeared in over 500 films. He mostly played funny characters and left a great mark with his comic timing.
Over his career span, he worked in movies such as Tharle Nan Maga, Ganesha Subramanya, Belliappa Bangarappa, Jee Boomba and Shh!, among others.
He was also active in television, and worked in several Kannada TV serials like Papa Pandu, Jokali, Mangalya and Robo Family.
Janardhan also played an important role in the Poshaka Kalavidha Sangha and acted in many plays and productions associated with it.
In 2023, he was honoured with the Rajyotsava Award.
Janardhan had a heart attack in 2023, but had recovered at the time after treatment.
His mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Sulthanpalya till 5:30 pm today, for the public to pay their last respects.
