As the world bid adieu to 88-Year-old Pope Francis on Saturday, the funeral of the late pontiff at The Vatican witnessed a congregation of the most powerful leaders and the society라이브 바카라 marginal people whom Pope Francis always made a point to minister to.
According to The Vatican, around 250,000 people paid their homage to Pope Francis, who died on Easter Monday, April 21, at age 88. Over the past few days, his body was lying in state in a simple wooden coffin inside St. Peter라이브 바카라 Basilica.
The funeral was attended by 60 heads of state including U.S. President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy amongst several others.
The funeral of Pope Francis began today at 1:30 pm (IST) in the majestic Baroque plaza in front of St Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. The funeral was led by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re. At the end of the public events of the funeral, he was buried privately at the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica in Rome.
Pope Francis died at the age of 88 on April 21 due to cardiac arrest, weeks after he returned home after battling double pneumonia. Just 20 hours before his death, the pontiff had made his last appearance on Easter, reminding the world of the essence of life and urging people to renew the hope for peace.

With Pope Francis' funeral taking place today, all eyes will now be on ythe election of his successor. When a Pope dies or resigns, traditionally, the governance of the Catholic Church is passed on to the College of Cardinals who serve as the Pope's closest advisors during their term.
Following this, a papal conclave is held in which the cardinals come together to elect a new bishop of Rome and the new pope is selected on the basis of a two-thirds supermajority vote.

Other candidates who might be considered include Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, 60, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, 77, the Archbishop of Colombo in Sri Lanka. Cardinal Mario Grech, the General Secretary of the Synod of Bishops and a native of Malta, and Cardinal Charles Muang Bo of Burma, the Archbishop of Yangon, may also come up for consideration.
