A police case has been registered against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a day before Delhi assembly polls over his allegations that Haryana is poisoning the waters of Yamuna. The case has been filed in Haryana accusing Kejriwal under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per reports, the charges include inciting riots, promoting hatred, making false accusations with the intent to cause harm, and engaging in deliberate and malicious actions that insult the religious sentiments of citizens.

The FIR states that the complainant viewed a viral video of Kejriwal, in which he allegedly made provocative remarks and leveled wild, baseless allegations against the state of Haryana, its government, and the ruling BJP. The FIR also includes a reproduction of Kejriwal's statement, made in Hindi, on January 28.

Police officials said, “The FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by Jagmohan Manchanda in the court of the sub-divisional judicial magistrate, Shahbad.”
