Delhi Exit Polls Results 2025: Most Polls Predict BJP's Return After 27 Years

- Most of the exit polls for Delhi polls are predicting the return of BJP. The saffron party, if wins, will come back to power after 27 years. BJP's Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that BJP is expected to come to power in Delhi.

- Only a few exit polls have predicted a clean sweep for the incumbent AAP government. WeePreside's Delhi election 2025 exit poll paved the way for another AAP government. The poll projected 46-52 seats for AAP, 18-23 seats for BJP and 0-1 for Congress. Journo Mirror's exit polls predict 45-48 seats for AAP, 18-20 for BJP and 0-1 seat for the grand old Congress.

- All the exit polls predicted that Congress is expected to win at not more than 3 seats.

- AAP's national spokesperson Reena Gupta rejected the exit polls and said that they have underestimated the party but in actual results, the party gains several times more than these projections.

- As per data by the EC, voter turnout for Delhi elections 2025 was at 57.89 percent (approximate).

The voting across all 70 assembly constituencies has ended. With the voter turnout now at 58 percent as of 5 PM, the exit polls will begin shortly.

The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party is hopeful to win its third consecutive term at the national capital. Since 2013, AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, has been in power in Delhi.

With the 2025 elections, AAP is hopeful for a return and for Arvind Kejriwal to take oath as the Chief Minister for the fourth time.

Led by Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP is seeking a third straight term, banking on its governance record and welfare schemes.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making a determined push to reclaim the capital after 27 years.

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row till 2013, is striving to stage a comeback after failing to win a single seat in the previous two elections.

As per the Election Commission of India, the voter turnout at 5 PM stands at 57.70 percent.

As per People's Pulse and Matrize, the exit polls have predicted a BJP sweep in the national capital.

People's Pulse -

AAP - 10 to 19 seats

BJP - 51 to 60 seats

Matrize -

AAP - 32 to 37 seats

BJP - 35 to 40 seats

With the exit poll numbers rolling in, a tight contest is predicted between the AAP and BJP. In case the ECI results also show a close contest, there are chances of a hung assembly.

What happens in a hung assembly?

A hung assembly occurs when neither fo the contesting parties manage to cross the majority mark.

In such cases, a coalition government may be formed to form a government. In case no government is formed, President's rule may be imposed under Article 365 of the Indian constitution.

While the exit poll numbers are being declared on Wednesday, just minutes after voting ended across all 70 seats, the final outcome will be revealed by the Election Commission of India later this week.

The result of the Delhi Elections 2025 will be declared by the Election Commission on Saturday - February 8, 2025 from 8 AM onwards.

P-Marq exit poll has also projected a comfortable win for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 39-49 seats in its kitty, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is predicted to stay between 21-31 seats.

Mind Brink in their poll also predicted a victory for AAP with 44-49 seats, whereas BJP winning 21-25 seats and Congress 0-1 seats.

With the predictions from exit polls coming in, most of them projected 0-1 seats for the grand old party. Except Chanakya Strategies which has predicted 2-3 seats, all the polls are showing 0-1 seats for Congress.

Matrize and Zeenia exit polls have projected a tight fight between BJP and the AAP. Matrize has predicted 32-37 seats for AAP and 35-40 seats for BJP where Zeenia has predicted 33-38 seats for AAP and 31-36 seats for BJP.

JVC has predicted 39-45 seats for BJP and 22-31 seats for AAP.

AAP rejected the exit poll results for the Delhi Assembly election, saying the pollsters have "historically" underestimated its performance, while the BJP termed the predictions an assertion of people's urge for change, PTI reported.

AAP's national spokesperson Reena Gupta told PTI that exit polls have historically underestimated the Arvind Kejriwal-led party but in actual results, the party gains several times more than these projections.

BJP's Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that BJP is expected to come to power in Delhi.

"Exit poll results show that BJP is coming to power with two-third majority. We are going to give good government to Delhi," says BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain," he said to PTI.
