As the civil war in Sudan rages on, the African nation has filed a case against the United Arab Emirates at the International Court of Justice for "complicity in genocide."

Since the escalation of the civil war in Sudan, the Sudanese government has accused the UAE of supporting Sudan's paramilitary group - the Rapid Support Forces.

As per the World Court, Sudan's applications accused UAE of supporting the RSF, which in turn have committed “acts including, but not limited to, genocide, murder, theft of property, rape, forcible displacement, trespassing, vandalism of public properties, and violation of human rights."

Sudan has also accused the UAE of fuelling the "rebellion and supports the militia that has committed the crime of genocide in West Darfur.

"The United Arab Emirates must make full reparation for the injury caused (by) its internationally wrongful acts, including paying reimbursement to the victims of the war," the statement reads further.

Sudan further stated that the UAE “is complicit in the genocide on the Masalit through its direction of and provision of extensive financial, political, and military support for the rebel RSF militia”.

UAE Refutes Allegations

The UAE government has slammed Sudan for filing the case, dismissing it as a "cynical publicity stunt." As per the statement from Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash, Abu Dhabi will be working towards the "immediate dismissal of the case."

“Sudan라이브 바카라 priority should be to cease fire in this absurd and destructive war and address the massive humanitarian catastrophe”, Gargash stated on X.

"The army and its Muslim Brotherhood partners, remnants of the former regime, continue their feeble media maneuvers to justify their rejection of peace and the political track, while providing protection to those wanted by the International Criminal Court," he added further.

What Is UAE's Alleged Role In The Civil War?

Abu Dhabi has been accused of supporting and aiding the RSF as the nation records its third major civil war.

The ongoing war broke out in 2023 and since then, over 8.2 million people in Sudan have been displaced. As per a study by Yale University라이브 바카라 Humanitarian Research Lab, around 200,000 people have allegedly been killed since April 2023.

Weeks after the war broke out, a 72-hour ceasefire was called for peace talks between former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

During the truce, it was highlighted that several foreign nations had interfered in the conflict, including the UAE.

It was alleged that RSF is being supported by the Libyan militia leader Khalifa Haftar and the United Arab Emirates. UN sanctions monitors have also stated that there are "credible" accusations that the UAE is providing to the RSF.
