Day after a row erupted over her Palestine bag, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, was spotted today carrying a Bangladesh bag. The bag has been printed with the slogan which called for support for the minority Hindu and Christian communities in Bangaldesh.
Ahead of Tuesday's parliament session, Congress and opposition MPs were seen protesting outside the building calling for the protection of minorities In Bangladesh.
Along with Priyanka Gandhi, opposition MPs were also seen carrying similar bags.
During her address in Zero Hour on Monday, the Wayanad MP called on the government to raise the issue of atrocities against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh.
"The government should raise the issue of atrocities on minorities, both Hindus and Christians, in Bangladesh. We should discuss this with the Bangladesh government and support those who are in pain," said Gandhi.
On Monday, the Wayanad MP was spotted with a Palestine bag, sparking controversy.
Amit Malviya, head of the BJP IT Cell, accused Gandhi of "communal virtue signalling" under the guise of countering patriarchy.
"At the end of this Parliament session, observe a two-minute silence for everyone in the Congress who believed Priyanka Vadra was the solution. Sporting a bag in support of Palestine in Parliament is crass communal posturing," said Malviya on X.
