Bengaluru Police arrested four men on charges of moral policing in Chandra Layout area after they allegedly harassed a Hindu boy and Muslim burqa-clad girl who were sitting at a public park.
There were four men in total including a minor who were harassing the couple. According to India Today the incident took place on Saturday evening at Suvarna Layout Park, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Chandra Layout police station.
The police have reportedly identified the detained individuals as Mahim, Afridi, Wasim and Anjum.
According to the police, the accused asked the two “Why are you sitting on a bike with a Hindu boy while wearing a burqa? Don’t you have any shame?”
The group of men questioned the girl about her relationship with the boy and demanded her family's contact details.
The girl refused to share her family라이브 바카라 phone numbers and said the boy revealed that she was her classmate. The group reportedly tried to intimidate and assault the boy.
DCP West S Girish confirmed the incident and told PTI that a Burqa-clad woman was sitting on a scooter with a youth, when four people from her community accosted her for speaking to someone from a different community.
"We have received a complaint from the woman based on which we have registered a case. We have arrested four people including a juvenile," Girish told reporters.
"There is no violence involved in this incident. We have taken up an investigation in this case," he added.
