With the temperatures rising, Delhi residents are warned by India Meteorological Department (IMD) to stay indoors. ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued by the IMD on the capital city forecasting heatwave and poor weather conditions on April 8 and April 9.
In a latest press conference IMD mentioned, “Delhi will experience a heatwave in the next two days, April 8 and 9, with maximum temperature reaching up to 42 degree celsius.”
Delhi Weather Today
According to the latest local weather report and forecast of IMD, today the minimum temperature in Delhi will be 23 C and it will rise up to 41 Degree Celsius. IMD has issued a ‘yellow alert’. It has forecasted a partly cloudy sky today in Delhi. The temperature will range between 40 C to 42 C across most of the parts of Delhi-NCR, including Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.

It indicates the possibility of adverse weather conditions that can disrupt daily activities or can deteriorate health conditions.
Weather Update In Northern States
The weather condition has worsened in all over Northern states as the mercury level climbed up. States like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh are also facing scorching heat reaching up to 40-41 C. A ‘yellow alert’ has also been issued in Rajasthan on April 8 and 9.
Precautions To Take
IMD has released some basic precautions to take during summer days.
Drink sufficient water and stay hydrated. Carry water whenever you are travelling somewhere.

Try to wear comfortable cotton clothes, use goggles, umbrella, hats etc.
