Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has welcomed the ruling of the Supreme Court, which stated that the withholding of key bills by the governor was "illegal" and "arbitrary."
Praising the action from the apex court, Stalin stated that this verdict is a victory for "all state governments in India."
”The Constitution mandates the Governor to approve the bills once adopted for the second time, but he didn’t...he was also delaying,” the CM was quoted as saying by PTI.
“We thank and welcome today라이브 바카라 historic judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, reaffirming the legislative rights of State Legislatures and putting an end to the trend of Union government-nominated Governors stalling progressive legislative reforms in Opposition-ruled states," Stalin also wrote on social media platform X.
The SC verdict was also hailed by ministers in Kerala. Ministers P Rajeev and K Rajan praised the Supreme Court and stated that the top court has “upheld the Constitution and democracy of the country.”

The Supreme Court ruled that the withholding of assent by Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi was “illegal.”
This ruling comes as the DMK government and Governor RN Ravi remain at loggerheads over several issues.
As per reports, Governor Ravi had reserved 10 bills passed by the state assembly for the President라이브 바카라 consideration. However, as per the apex court, the governor does not have the power to do so, especially after the bills have been presented to the governor for a second tiem by the state assembly.
