The House of Lashkar-e-Taiba's active militants Asif Sheikh and Adil Hussain, allegedly linked with the Pahalgam attack, were destroyed in a blast in the Tral area of Awantipora in Pulwama district on Thursday night.

Citing officials PTI reported that security forces were conducting searches inside the houses of two LeT terrorists, Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh, when the explosives already kept inside the houses went off.

The explosives caused destruction of the houses, they added.

Thokar, a resident of south Kashmir's Anantnag district, is one of the key accused in Tuesday's Pahalgam attack, while Sheikh, a resident of Tral in Pulwama district, is suspected to be involved in the conspiracy of the attack, PTI reported.

Adil Hussain Thokkar has been declared most wanted, and Anantnag police have announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for any specific information leading to his arrest. Two Pakistani nationals have also been declared most wanted in this case.

Who is Adil Hussain?

In 2018, Adil Hussain Thokar had reportedly travelled to Pakistan, where he did his terror training before returning to Jammu and Kashmir last year, HT reported.

Allegedly Linked Terrorist Hashim Musa and Ali Talha

According to NIA officials familiar with the probe, Hashim Musa, alias Suleiman, was active in Jammu and Kashmir for the past year and is believed to have been involved in at least three attacks on security forces and non-locals.

According to an Indian Express report, Ali Talha has been active in the Kashmir Valley for nearly two years.

Records also reveal that Ali arrived in the valley after Musa and was active in the Dachigam forests on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Some local residents and overground workers were being questioned to gather more information about the attackers, especially Musa, HT quoted an official as saying.
