The Indian Air Force is carrying out Exercise Aakraman (Attack) over a large area in the central sector involving its mainstream fighter aircraft fleets led by the Rafale combat aircraft.

The Indian Air Force operates two squadrons of the Rafale aircraft which are based out of Ambala and Hashimara in West Bengal.

"The cutting-edge technology fighter jets are carrying out complex missions involving ground attack and electronic warfare drills," defence sources told ANI.

"The assets of the Indian Air Force have been moved from multiple airbases, including from the eastern side," they added.

Several global leaders expressed their condolences and spoke to PM Modi about the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack.

The barbarism displayed in the Pahalgam terror attack is totally unacceptable, French President Emmanuel Macron told Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a phone conversation.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni dialled PM Modi on Thursday and strongly condemned the "terrible" terror attack on Indian soil, according to external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also spoke to Modi and conveyed condolences to the families of the victims.

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir라이브 바카라 Bandipora district on Friday, as per a report by PTI.

Houses of two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists allegedly involved in the Pahalgam attack were destroyed in Jammu and Kashmir, PTI reported, citing officials on Friday.

The houses were destroyed in a blast on Thursday night.

Muslims offer Friday prayers wearing black armbands to condemn Pahalgam terror attack.

"Muslims of the country are with the families of 26 people who lost their lives in Pahalgam terror attack. Whenever any terror attack happens in the country, Muslims of India always condemn it.

"The 140 crore people of India are standing against terrorism. We may have ideological differences with BJP, Congress and other parties, however, when the country is attacked, all the Muslims will stand united for the nation," says a person after offering Friday prayers.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to discuss the fallout of the Pahalgam terror attack on tourists.

Gandhi, who earlier interacted with the injured tourists at the Army's based hospital here, met Abdullah at his residence.

Officials said the Congress leader earlier met various delegations, including trade representatives, students leaders and tourism sector representatives.

The Union Minister emphasised that immediate steps are being prioritised, including the desilting of rivers among others.

Speaking to the media, Paatil said, "A roadmap was prepared in the meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Three options were discussed in the meeting. The government is working on short-term, medium-term, and long-term measures so that not even a drop of water goes to Pakistan. Soon, desilting of rivers will be done to stop the water and divert it."

Commenting on Pakistan suspending trade with India, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said "Pakistan will be the only one to suffer loss due to this. India has no interest in trading with such a terrorist country."
