'They Acted Like ISIS': AIMIM Chief Owaisi Slams Pakistan Over Brutal Pahalgam Attack

Addressing a public meeting at Prabhani in Maharashtra, Owaisi slammed Pakistan over the despicable Pahalgam attack and also reportedly iterated that international law allows India to enforce a blockade of Pakistan's Air Force and hack their Internet by using ethical hackers.

Amid the simmering political escalation between India and Pakistan over the brutal militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam killing 26 people, all India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday lambasted Pakistan saying that it 'acted like ISIS'.

Addressing a public meeting at Prabhani in Maharashtra, Owaisi said, "Pakistan always talks about being a nuclear power; they need to remember if they enter a country and kill innocent people, that country will not sit quietly. No matter the government, by killing our people on our land, and targeting them based on religion, what 'deen' are you talking about?... You have acted like the ISIS. I want to tell the Prime Minister that if Kashmir is our integral part, then Kashmiris are also our integral part... We cannot doubt the Kashmiris."

Moreover, the Hyderabad MP also came down heavily on Pakistan over threatening India with military action. “You are not just half an hour behind, you are half a century behind India. Your country's budget is not even equal to our military budget,” he said.

Targeting Pakistan over allegedly training militants for several years, Owaisi also reportedly also iterated that international law allows India to enforce a blockade of Pakistan's Air Force and hack their Internet by using ethical hackers.

“Some anchors on TV channels are speaking against Kashmiris. They are shameless. If Kashmir is our integral part and will remain so, Kashmiris are also an integral part of India. How can we suspect them?”, NDTV quoted him saying.

At the public meeting, Owaisi opposed the the Waqf (Amendment) Act and urged people people to participate in the protest programmes announced by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB).

He urged people to participate in ‘Batti Gul' programme on April 30 by switching off lights.

According to a report by NDTV, the AIMIM chief lashed out at Ajit Pawar, Nitish Kumar, Jayant Chaudhary, and Chandrababu Naidu for supporting the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. He said Muslims and secular-minded people will not forgive them.

Mr Owaisi alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Back has once again resorted to back-stabbing.

Targeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Mr Owaisi said he had put the political future of his son at stake by supporting the Bill.
