Asked to bat first, the Titans lost the wicket of their captain, Shubman Gill, early in the match. But Sai Sudharsan added 80 runs for the second wicket with Jos Buttler (36).

Sudharsan (82 off 53 balls) went on to score his third half-century of the season. He also added 62 runs for the third wicket with Shahrukh Khan, who made a quick 36 runs off just 20 balls.
Rahul Tewatia (24 not out off 12 balls) and Rashid Khan (12 off four balls) played crucial cameos to take the team's total to 217 runs.
Maheesh Theekshana and Tushar Deshpande took a couple of wickets each, whereas Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma took one wicket each for the Royals.
In response, Rajasthan lost the wicket of their opener batter Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the match. Sanju Samson kept holding one end, but wickets kept falling from the other side.
Nitish Rana (1) and Riyan Parag (26) also lost their wickets while trying for big shots. Dhruv Jurel also joined them after hitting one boundary.
Shimron Hetmyer was the highest scorer for the Royals with 52 runs coming in just 32 balls, but he did not get any support from the other end. RR were bowled out for 159 runs. GT won the match by 58 runs.
With this win, the Gujarat Titans are now at the top of the points table, having won four of their five matches, whereas the Royals have slipped to seventh place. Sudharsan was named Player of the Match for his performance with the bat.
Now, the Gujarat Titans will take on Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, whereas the Rajasthan Royals will host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday in Jaipur.
