IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony Highlights: Shreya Ghoshal, Karan Aujla, Disha Patani Perform; Shahrukh Khan Dances With Virat Kohli, Rinku Singh On Stage

The live performances for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will start around 6:00 pm IST. Many celebrities are expected to attend the opening ceremony.

Indian bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan is among the main attraction for the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2025. He will be performing on his film songs along with the other stars.

After Shahrukh Khan, Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will also perform on the stage. She is expected to sing her songs. Punjabi singer Karan Aujla is a youth icon and he will also be singing some of his songs at the Eden Gardens. Disha Patani will also be dancing on the stage.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds expected in Kolkata during the opening ceremony. The weather will also remain rainy with chances of precipitation high in the morning and low but significant in the evening as well.

The weather at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata is clear and the sun is out. There were some predictions of rain but the sky is looking clearer as compared to what it was in the morning. Now, the focus is shifted to the star performers for the Opening Ceremony of the IPL 2025. Karan Aujla, Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani will join the superstar Shahrukh Khan on the stage.

Sharukh Khan started the opening ceremony with thanking cricket fans of the world for the wait and introduced the performers of the opening ceremony for season 18th. Shreya Ghoshal will be doing the opening performance. Disha Patani and Karan Aujla will follow her after that.

Shreya Ghoshal gave the first performance of the opening ceremony. She stared with the song 'Mere Dholna'. Then she sung Ghoomer, Saami Saami and Rang De Basanti. She also sung 'Kar Har Maidan Fateh' and Om Shanti Om.

Shreya Ghoshal performed for 15 minutes and sang many of her songs. She finished her performance with 'Vande Mataram'. All fans in the Eden Gardens were singling along with her. Disha Patani will perform after this.

Disha Patani danced on a couple of songs after Shreya Ghoshal's performance. She started with 'Aami Pagal hoi Jaabo' and performed for five minutes. The fans looked entertained.

Punjab singer Karan Aujla opened his act with 'Softly' and the fans were flabbergasted. The opening ceremony would have been certainly uncomplete with the performer like Karan Aujla.

Shahrukh Khan is ready for the final performance of the day. But he welcomed Virat Kohli and appealed the fans to chant, 'Kohli-Kohli'. He then welcomed Rinku Singh on stage and asked him to dance with him on 'Lut-Put Gaya'.

Shahrukh Khan danced with Indian batters Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh on the stage. He danced with Rinku on 'Lut-Put Gaya' and with Kohli he danced on 'Jhoome Jo Pathan'.

Virat Kohli is the only player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to play for a single franchise since the beginning of the first season. He was felicitated with a momento by BCCI President Roger Binny.

Shahrukh Khan invited KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane and RCB skipper Rajat Patidar and they presented the IPL trophy on the stage. Then a cake was cit by the BCCI officials to celebrate the 'adulthood' of the league.

After the cake cutting, the ceremony ended with the national anthem. Shahrukh Khan requested everyone to stand up for the national anthem and after the completion of that, the ceremony ended. Now, the toss will happen in a moment.
