Josh Hazlewood came to bowl the first over of the 18th season for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine came to open the batting for KKR. De Kock hit a boundary on the second delivery of the first over. Suyash Sharma dropped a lolly on the fourth delivery but Jitesh Sharma took a fine catch on the next delivery to dismiss the destructive opener batter de Kock. Ajinkya Rahane is the newest batter at the crease.

Yash Dayal came to bowl the second over and he conceded just one run. KKR are under pressure now. RCB have managed to create pressure and despite dropping a catch in the first over, the pressure is on the batters. Dayal bowled a brilliant first over!

Josh Hazlewood bowled a brilliant over while keeping Sunil Narine out of the shots. Then Rasikh Dar Salam was introduced into the attack in the next over and Ajinkya Rahane targeted the young bowler. He slammed him for a couple of sixes and a four to collect 16 runs from the over.

Krunal Pandya was introduced into the attack in the fifth over and Sunil Narine welcomed him with a six. Ajinkya Rahane finished the over with a couple of fours to collect 15 runs from the over.

Sunil Narine welcomed Yash Dayal in the last over of the powerplay with a boundary. Then Rahane hit a couple of fours and a six to finish his over with 20 runs. Dayal conceded 20 runs after giving just one runs in his opening over.

The season opener between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru is also the 400th T20 match of Virat Kohli. Kohli became only the third Indian after Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik to appear in 400 T20 matches.

Suyash Sharma came to bowl his second over and conceded just five runs including a boundary. Rasikh Dar Salam came to bowl the next over and conceded nine runs including two wides.

Ajinkya Rahane welcomed Suyash Sharma with a six to complete his half-century in just 25 balls. He is looking in fine touch. He dispatched that one into the fans. Sunil Narine also opened his arms after that and hit a six then a four to collect 22 runs from the over.

Sunil Narine lost his wicket to Rasikh Dar Salam in the 10th over. Narine hit him a four then a six, but the youngster got the last laugh when he got him caught behind on the last delivery of the over. Venkatesh Iyer is the new batter at the crease.

Krunal Pandya was called into the attack in the 11th over and he dismissed the half-centurion Ajinkya Rahane on the third delivery. Angkrish Raghuvanshi joined Venkatesh Iyer at the crease. Pandya finished his over with just three runs.

Suyash Sharma leaked three boundaries in the over and RCB were under pressure. Then Krunal Pandya came to bowl again. Venkatesh Iyer was batting with helmet and he desperately bowled a bouncer which was stopped by Jitesh Sharma brilliantly behind the wickets. Iyer called for a helmet and was bowled on the next delivery.

Krunal Pandya got his third wicket of the match when he dismissed Rinku Singh on the last delivery of his spell. He bowled him with a quicker and the ball struck Jitesh Sharma's chest. It was a quick delivery and Rinku lost his wicket. Pandya finished his spell with the figures of 4-0-29-3.

Andre Russell joined Angkrish Raghuvanshi after the dismissal of Rinku Singh and he lost his wicket after hitting a boundary. Suyash Sharma dismissed him with a googly. Ramandeep Singh is the new batter at the crease.

Liam Livingstone conceded just four runs in his second over of the match and Josh Hazlewood was called back into the attack. He conceded 10 runs including a six from Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Now, with two overs left, KKR must try to cross 200 runs somehow.

Devdutt Padikkal tried to accelerate his inning and went for a big shot off Sunil Narine. Ramandeep Singh took a fine catch at deep mid-wicket to dismiss him for just 10 runs. Rajat Patidar joined Virat Kohli at the crease.

Virat Kohli completed his half-century with a boundary off the fifth delivery in the 13th over. He took 30 balls to complete 50 runs. Rajat Patidar went for a big six off Narine in the next over.

Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli were not in mood to wait for the last over. Patidar went berserk and hit a few big boundaries. Then he lost his wicket while trying the same. RCB need nine runs to win the match.

I thought we were going well till the 13th over but 2-3 wickets changed the momentum. Batters that followed tried their best but didn't workout. When myself and Venky were batting we were discussing that 200-210 was achievable but those wickets changed the momentum. Little bit of dew was there but they had a very good powerplay with the bat. It (total) was under par. We were looking for 200+. We don't want to think too much about this game but at the same time just try and get better in certain areas.

There was pressure, but it was a good day for me. If we keep winning like this, it will be a good day. It was pretty clear for me - I don't mind Suyash giving runs, he was our main wicket-taking bowler, so I backed him. (on Krunal and Suyash) All credit goes to both the bowlers, from 13 overs, they showed courage and determination. The mindset of taking wickets was really amazing. (on Kohli) It's really great when you have a player like him, it's a great opportunity for me to learn from one of the great players of the game. (on his shot off Harshit over backward point) That was pre-determined shot, I was going over covers, the ball nipped back and it went automatically.

When you play against so much crowd, I had to narrow down my focus. If I get hit I had to get hit off a good ball, glad that I could deliver. You have to go with the flow, how cricket is evolving. Batters have the skill-set to hit sixes consistently. You also have to up your game, have to make sure I bowl quicker. Change of pace is associated with pacers but also I tried it. (on his bouncer) Now Jitesh knows what I will do, if it's a wide yorker or a bouncer, if you have something in your armoury, why not use it. (on playing for RCB) It's been amazing, when I got into the team, I realised how much madness there is. The crowd support you get, even in domestic cricket, there also people are chanting RCB. It's been 10 days since I have joined and it's been pretty good.

RCB will move to Chennai for their next match against Chennai Super Kings on Friday. KKR will face Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati's Barsapara Stadium on Wednesday.
