In one of the best matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season so far, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by four runs in Match 21 at Eden Gardens. (Highlights | Schedule | Teams | Points Table)
Winning the toss, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane opted to bowl first. LSG took the chance to bat first extremely well, with the opening duo of Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh setting the tone of the match early on.

After the 99-run partnership was broken, Nicholas Pooran joined the party, and the West Indian unleashed a blistering assault on the KKR bowlers, smashing an unbeaten 87 off just 36 balls.
Pooran hit the KKR bowlers for seven fours and eight sixes, and his unbeaten knock pushed LSG to the third-highest total in Eden Gardens – 238.
Harshit Rana was the only bowler to enjoy any manner of success, picking two wickets despite conceding 51 runs.
Chasing the mammoth total, KKR needed a solid start, and their top order delivered. Sunil Narine라이브 바카라 quickfire 30 off 13 balls and skipper Ajinkya Rahane라이브 바카라 commanding 61 from 35 balls kept the home side in contention. Venkatesh Iyer further fueled hopes with a brisk 45 off 29 deliveries.
However, the middle overs witnessed a dramatic collapse from the home side. From being in control of the match, the Knight Riders lost four wickets in the span of four overs. Ramandeep Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, and Venkatesh Iyer fell in quick succession, leaving the lower order with a daunting task.
Rinku Singh tried to secure the win till the end, playing a valiant knock of 38 off 15 balls, but the home side fell agonisingly short, finishing at 234 for 7.
LSG bowlers, despite conceding runs, enjoyed more success in the second innings, with both Shardul Thakur and Akash Deep taking two wickets.
This win now puts LSG in fourth place with three wins in five games, while KKR are still marooned in sixth spot in their title defence charge.
