In match 38 of the IPL 2025 season, chasing 177, the MI made a mockery of the target, getting over the line in just 15.4 overs, with Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav putting on a batting masterclass.

After being sent in to bat, CSK had their moments. The 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre who became the youngest player of CSK, in his debut match, sparkled briefly with a knock of 32 off 15 balls, including 4 fours and two back-to-back sixes.

Shivam Dube flexed those forearms for a superb 50 off 32, and Ravindra Jadeja proved once again why he라이브 바카라 the king of rescue missions with an unbeaten 53 off 35.

But despite posting 176/5--a total that was challenging on paper but below par--CSK fans had to watch the rest of the evening with their hands over their eyes.

Jasprit Bumrah was lethal once again, picking up 2 for 25, also denying MS Dhoni's late show. Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner and debutant Ashwani Kumar chipped in with a wicket apiece.

Now, chasing down the target, Mumbai's batting turned the night into a one-way affair. Ryan Rickelton set the tone early (19-ball 24), but once he departed, it was showtime at the Rohit-SKY theatre.

The hitman slammed an unbeaten 76 off 45 including 6 sixes and 4 boundaries, while Suryakumar Yadav was at his flamboyant best, hammering 68 off 30 balls with 5 sixes and 6 fours to seal the chase in style.

No bowler was spared, no boundary left untouched. MS Dhoni and Co. looked out of ideas, out of breath, and honestly… out of hope.

With this win, Mumbai Indians climb to sixth place on the points table, with 8 points from 8 matches--reviving their playoff hopes just in time. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings have slipped to the very bottom, with just 4 points from 8 games, and now stand on the brink of elimination.

Also, this marked MI's first win against CSK in their last five encounters.

Up next in their IPL 2025 campaign, MI will face SunRisers Hyderabad next on April 23, also CSK will take on Hyderabad in their next IPL match on April 25.

Earlier, in the Sunday's doubleheader Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings by 7 wickets. Check the match report HERE.
