Chile Fight Back To Hold Uruguay To 1-1 Draw In CONMEBOL U20 Championship

Chile and Uruguay played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in their final round match of the CONMEBOL U20 Championship. Uruguay opened the goal tally just before halftime, with Joaquin Rodriguez finding the net in the 45th minute. However, Chile responded strongly in the second half, pressing forward and eventually equalizing in the 65th minute with goal from Ivan Roman. Both teams had chances to secure a winner, but solid defensive displays ensured the points were shared at the end. Chile are set to host the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup from September 27 to October 19.
