Actor-producer Robert De Niro, will be conferred with the prestigious Palme d'Or for Lifetime Achievement at Cannes 2025. He will receive the Honorary Palme d’Or at the opening ceremony of the 78th edition of the festival, which is on Tuesday, May 13.
Niro will be presented with the the Palme d'Or by none other than Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, reported Variety.
On May 14, the 81-year-old actor will attend a special masterclass on the stage of the Debussy Theater, where he is said to talk about his career spanning more than five decades.
For the unversed, DiCaprio and Niro's first collaboration was for the film This Boy's Life (1993). After three decades, they reunited for Martin Scorsese라이브 바카라 Killers of the Flower Moon, which screened as the official selection at Cannes 2023.

The two-time Oscar winner has a long association with Cannes. Niro served as President of the Cannes jury in 2011. He was last seen at Cannes in 2023, for Killers of the Flower Moon.
In 1976, Robert De Niro participated in two films which were the festival's official selection: Bernardo Bertolucci's 1900 and Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver, which received the Palme d'Or. In 1983, he took part in the festival with Scorsese's The King of Comedy, and a year later for Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America.
In 1986, he returned with Roland Joffe's The Mission, which was also the Palme d'Or winner.
Earlier, in a statement, Niro shared, “I have such close feelings for Festival de Cannes...especially now when there라이브 바카라 so much in the world pulling us apart, Cannes brings us together — storytellers, filmmakers, fans, and friends'' and added, ''It라이브 바카라 like coming home.''
