Amazon MGM Studios, on Tuesday, announced the new producers of the next James Bond movie. Spider-Man and Harry Potter producers, Amy Pascal and David Heyman will jointly produce the next James Bond feature.

As per a report in BBC, in a statement, Amazon MGM Studios' head of film, Courtenay Valenti, called Pascal and Heyman as "two of the most accomplished, experienced, and respected film producers in our industry."

"We are honoured to be working with them on James Bond's next chapter and are excited to deliver to global audiences storytelling that upholds the impeccable legacy of this beloved character,'' added Valenti.

In a joint statement, the producers called 007 "one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema".

"We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honoured and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure," they added.

For the unversed, Pascal has produced three latest Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, while Heyman backed all eight Harry Potter movies.

In February, Amazon MGM Studios acquired “creative control” of James Bond franchise from long-time producers and custodians of 007, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

It is to be noted that Amazon MGM Studios was formed when Amazon bought Bond's parent studio in 2022.

James Bond films were launched by Albert "Cubby" Broccoli in 1962, and after his death in 1996, his daughter Barbara Broccoli, and stepson, Michael G. Wilson, took over as the producers.

Now, with the new producers stepping in, let's see who they will cast to play the iconic character.

Reportedly, James Norton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James are considered as frontrunners to step into the shoes of Craig.
