After the critically-acclaimed film, Past Lives, director Celine Song is all set to wow the audiences with yet another offering on love, vows and heartbreaks. Song's second directorial is titled Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal in lead roles.
The trailer of Materialists has been unveiled and it shows Dakota Johnson playing a matchmaker, Lucy who falls for the handsome and wealthy Randy (Pedro Pascal). As they go on their first date, her ex, John (Chris Evans) enters the scene.
Poor Lucy's love life is now filled with chaos as she struggles in love, torn between John and Randy.
In the trailer, John tells Lucy, “When I see your face, I see wrinkles and children that look like you. So where does that leave us?”
Lucy is seen dealing with her inner conflicts. Will she be able to come out of this? Well, to see what unfolds, you have to wait for this summer.

Materialists also features Dasha Nekrasova, Sawyer Spielberg, Louisa Jacobson, Zoe Winters, Marin Ireland, Eddie Cahill, and Fernando Belo.
Celine Song has reunited with her Past Lives producer David Hinojosa, alongside Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler.
Song's debut Past Lives, starring Greta Lee, Teo Yoo and John Magaro, explored the relationship of two childhood friends and it received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It premiered at Sundance in 2023.
Past Lives also received two Academy Award nominations, including best original screenplay and best picture. It also bagged five Golden Globe and three BAFTA Film Awards nominations.
Materialists is set to release in Australian cinemas on June 12 and in US on June 13.
