Brazilian police said on Sunday intercepted a bomb attack targeting singer Lady Gaga's historic concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, Reuters reported.
The colossal free concert by America라이브 바카라 pop star Gaga was attended by 2.1 million people, according to Rio city hall.
The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro state, in coordination with the Justice Ministry, said the bomb attack was planned by a group with the agenda of propagating hate speech and the radicalising teenagers, according to Reuters. It also involved self-harm and violent content as a form of social belonging.
"The suspects were recruiting participants, including minors, to carry out coordinated attacks using improvised explosives and Molotov cocktails," Reuters quoted the police.
The recruiting participants were part of Gaga's fan base, called "Little Monsters", the Justice Ministry said.
The Ministry's Cyber Operations Lab received a tip-off from Rio state police intelligence. This led to the revelation of digital cells that encouraged violent behavior among teenagers using coded language and extremist symbolism.
A man suspected to be the group라이브 바카라 leader was arrested in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. He was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm, while a teenager in Rio de Janeiro was detained for storing child pornography.
The authorities conducted multiple search and seizure warrants across the states of Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Sul and Sao Paulo.
