Assam Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah said that the youth wing leader took the step without first informing the party leadership.
"The police team has left for Karnataka to arrest Srinivas BV in the harassment case after preliminary investigation. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has submitted a letter to the Assam Police too," a source said, according to a report by India Today.
"I have been harassed for the last six months. I spoke about this to the party leadership. An in-charge was sent here, Vardhan Yadav. After he came here, he started creating a lot of trouble in the Assam Youth Congress. He also started creating lobbies. And all this he was doing as per Srinivas BV's instructions," she said in an interview with India Today TV.
