The night after India라이브 바카라 Operation Sindoor, Pakistan made a second attempt to target military infrastructure in Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir through drones and missiles, as per the official statement.
On May 8 night, in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer, locals heard echoes of explosion sounds, most likely from the drone attacks by Pakistan in Jaisalmer-Pokhran, were heard. A day after the blackout, the situation in the border districts in Rajasthan remains tense on May 9.
The four districts, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner and SriGanganar, of Rajasthan, share the longest border with Pakistan of approximately 1100 km.
While there are no official details out on the likely drone attack on Jaisalmer, the government statement does mention multiple drone attacks on the Western border. At the same time, the locals from the villages alongside the border said that soon after 8PM, multiple sirens sounded on Thursday night, people switched off their lights, and the city라이브 바카라 residents heard massive explosion sounds.
A day later, amid a wave of possible drone strikes by Pakistan, a bomb-like object was found in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer on Friday morning in Kishanghat village, spreading panic among villagers.
Speaking to 바카라, Kalyan Ram, the local sarpanch of Kishanghat village, said, "We could hear multiple sirens whole night. There were sparks in the sky, and some sparks were travelling in the air and falling. No one dared to come outside as the entire village was in the dark. Everyone in the village panicked and had sleepless nights. In the morning, I received phone calls from the villagers mentioning a strange bomb-like object, and we subsequently informed the police and army, who then cordoned off the entire area".
Soon after the villagers informed the police, a bomb disposal squad arrived at the spot, and the army cordoned off the village. "As soon as we were informed about a bomb-like object, we strictly asked villagers to stay away and keep the children inside", Station House Officer (SHO) Premdan Ratnu of Kotwali police station told the media.
Earlier, the three locations in Rajasthan— Nal in Bikaner, Phalodi, and Uttarlai in Barmer— which have an Air Force station, witnessed the first attack by Pakistan on the night of May 7-8 to engage a number of military targets using drones and missiles. As per the Press Information Bureau (PIB), these attempts were neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems, and debris from these attacks is now being recovered from several locations.
Red Alert: Schools Shut, airports closed, leaves cancelled in the border districts
After the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people and India's strike on terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation, Rajasthan is taking several measures to ensure its preparedness in case of any eventuality.
Rajasthan Chief Minister (CM) Bhajan Lal Sharma held a high-level meeting with top officials in the wake of the prevailing situation along the International Border. According to the press release, the CM, who also holds the portfolio of State Home Minister, had instructed to cancel the holidays of all government personnel. The CM also issued a relief of Rs five crore each to Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Sriganganagar districts and has instructed for deployment of additional RAC forces, fire brigades and ambulances to the border districts.
The Medical and Health Department has cancelled the leaves of all doctors and paramedical staff until further notice. Principal Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Gayatri Rathore, stated that the department has taken precautionary measures considering disaster management in border and other areas. The Department has directed the CMHOS of 12 border districts—Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sirohi, Pali, Barmer, Balotra, Jodhpur, and Phalodi—to ensure all necessary arrangements in their respective medical institutions.
"The administration is taking all the precautions, and preparedness is ongoing. We have put the entire district on red alert. The schools and airports have been shut till May 10 and can be extended if needed", Tina Dabi, Barmer collector, told 바카라. Just like prompting authorities to place these districts on high alert, the schools and colleges have been closed.
As a precautionary measure, amid ongoing security tensions, the Indian Railways cancelled several trains operating from Barmer and Jaisalmer on Friday. As per the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of North Western Railway, Shashi Kiran, all passenger trains running between Barmer, Jodhpur, and Munabao have been suspended for May 9. Also, the flights at the airports in Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur have been suspended until May 10 and could be further suspended.
