A 55-year-old man allegedly killed his wife with a hammer in Noida on Friday, suspecting her of having an extramarital affair, an official told PTI. The accused husband has been arrested. The incident took place in Noida Sector 15.
What Did The Police Say?
Police said 42-year-old Asma Khan worked as a software engineer in Noida while her husband, Nurulla Haider, was jobless.
Citing Deputy Commissioner of Police Ram Badan Singh, PTI reported that today the Phase 1 police station team received information that a person bludgeoned his wife to death using a hammer over suspicion of an affair.
"Haider had repeatedly hit Asma on her head with the hammer at their home in Sector 15. The couple라이브 바카라 son informed police about the murder," he said.
"The accused husband was taken into police custody. Haider told police that he had killed his wife because he had suspicion that she was having an extramarital affair,” Amit Kumar, In-charge of Phase 1 police station, told PTI. The couple also has a daughter, the police said, adding that the body has been sent for a post-mortem.
Case Background
According to a report by NDTV, 42-year-old Asma Khan was a software engineer and worked at a company located in Noida's Sector 62.
Earlier, she lived in Delhi and was an engineering graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia. The accused husband Nurulla Haider is from Bihar and was also an engineering graduate.
Asma and Nurullah married in 2005 and have two children: a son, who is an engineering student, and a daughter who studies in Class 8.
Police have confirmed that preliminary investigation revealed that Nurullah had been suspecting his wife of having an extramarital affair. Further investigation is underway.
