The Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked small-arms fires for the seventh straight night across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, Uri, and Akhnoor sectors. The Indian Army responded proportionately, Hindustan Times reported.
India라이브 바카라 Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) had warned Pakistan earlier this week about the unprovoked firings that violated the ceasefire across the LoC.
According to HT, a ceasefire agreement that was originally reached in 2003 was reaffirmed on February 25, 2021. It has been mutually respected, up until the recent shootings.
The warning was relayed in the hotline conversation between DGMO of India and Pakistan. Tensions have been rising since the April 22 terror attack in Baisaran valley in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 civilians.
Last week between April 25 to April 28, Jammu and Kashmir라이브 바카라 Tutmar Gali, Rampur sectors, Poonch and Kupwara sectors reported unprovoked ceasefire violations. On April 29, firing occurred at the Chenab post in the Pargwal sector of Akhnoor.
Unprovoked scattered incidents of ceasefire violations have escalated since India unilaterally suspended the Indus Water Treaty, among other diplomatic measures, in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Pakistan too reciprocated with measures like closing airspace for Indian airlines, suspending SAARC visa privileges and limiting its diplomatic presence in India.
