While Chennai Super Kings have made the most use of replacement deals with as many as three such players in their Playing XI of their last match against KKR, other teams too are joining the bandwagon.
In less than last 24 hours, three players have been brought in as replacement players in three different franchise. Let us take a look at them.
Homecoming for Mayank
Mayank Agarwal has returned to his home franchise RCB as another Kannadiga Devdutt Padikkal is set to miss the remainder of the season due to an injury. Agarwal made his IPL debut for RCB
Mayank Agarwal has played 127 IPL matches so far, scoring 2661 runs. He has 1 IPL hundred and 13 fifties against his name. He led Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. However, apart from a three-year period with the Kings in 2019-21, the right-hander has not been at his best in the IPL and averages just 22.74.
DC bring in Afghan youngster
Delhi Capitals have finally announced a replacement for Harry Brook. Afghanistan's young left-hander Sediqullah Atal has been named as a replacement for the England superstar. Atal featured for MI Cape Town in this year's SA20 and scored one fifty in three innings. He made his T20I debut in 2023 and debuts in other two formats last year.
RR sign Proteas teenager
RR have signed Lhuan-dre Pretorius who just turned 19 in March this year. The supremely talented youngster played for Paarl Royals in the SA20 2025 and finished as the highest run-scorer of the tournament. His signing makes a hub of teenage prodigies with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Kwena Maphaka also in the squad.
He has replaced Nitish Rana in the RR squad.
