North Korea launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles into the East sea on Thursday, according to South Korea라이브 바카라 Joint Chief of Staff. The move comes a week after the nation tested the new weapons system for its latest 5000-tonne warship. The missiles were fired from the eastern city of Wonsan at 8:10 AM today.
The test marked Pyongyang라이브 바카라 first missile test since March and its sixth missile test this year. According to Japan라이브 바카라 defence ministry, the missiles launched into the East sea also known as the Sea of Japan did not pose any immediate threat to the Japanese territory.
North Korea had earlier tested the weapons system of its Choe Hyon warship that is claimed to be equipped with ‘the most powerful weapons system’ which would be operational by next year. South Korea has alleged that the destroyer was built with Russian aid, possibly in exchange for deploying North Korean assault troops to fight in Ukraine. The two nations have also declared the construction of the first road link connecting their borders.
The test comes amid escalating tensions in the region. The North had also launched several missiles immediately after the US-South Korea joint military drill had commenced in March this year known as the Freedom Shield. Pyongyan has termed these drills as an invasion whereas the US and South Korea call them defensive.
Both Korea라이브 바카라 are technically still at war with the 1950-53 conflict ending through an armistice and not a peace treaty.
