A 25-year-old man was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly uploading a video on social media containing inflammatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, police officials said to Indian Express.

The accused, identified as Nawaz, an electrician and resident of Mangammanapalya, was taken into custody by the Bandepalya police shortly after the video went viral. He was later remanded to judicial custody and sent to Bengaluru Central Jail, Express reported.

According to police, Nawaz uploaded the controversial video through his social media handle named Public Servant. In the video, Nawaz reportedly stated, “Today, India and Pakistan are at war. Why hasn’t Prime Minister Narendra Modi라이브 바카라 residence been bombed yet? When people were living peacefully, this war-like situation was created by PM Modi. His residence should be bombed first.”

Authorities swiftly responded by registering a First Information Report (FIR) and locating Nawaz using digital tracking tools.

This incident comes on the heels of another case in Karnataka, where a postgraduate student was booked for allegedly criticizing Operation Sindoor on Instagram. The operation was launched by the Indian armed forces in retaliation for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.

The student, Reshma N Bariga from Belalu near Belthangady town, was booked by Konaje police in Mangaluru based on a complaint. Her social media post reportedly condemned the military strikes carried out in Pakistan as part of the operation.

Both cases have stirred conversations around national security, freedom of expression, and the limits of dissent in times of conflict.
