United States Vice President JD Vance will visit India on a four-day trip starting April 21. His children, his wife Usha Vance, who belongs to the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, and other administrative officials will accompany him.

The White House said in a statement on Wednesday, “Vice President J D Vance and the Second Family will travel to Italy and India from April 18 to 24. The VP will discuss shared economic and geopolitical priorities with leaders in each country."

This will be JD Vance라이브 바카라 first visit to India. He will arrive from Italy, where he will meet Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

On his arrival day, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and later visit the historical pink cities of Jaipur - for a wedding and Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, according to The Indian Express.

Modi last met JD Vance and his family in February when they were attending the AI Action Summit in France and discussed India investing in U.S. nuclear technology, The Hindu reported.

Leaders from the two countries have met frequently ever since Donald Trump took office this January. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the U.S. for Trump라이브 바카라 inauguration in January. Modi was one of the few leaders who visited the White House in February this year. Director of National Intelligence of U.S. Tulsi Gabbard visited India in March.

However, relations between the two countries are tense amidst the tariff issues, student visas and deportation of illegal Indian immigrants.

The official visit comes at a crucial economic juncture, against the backdrop of escalating trade negotiations between India and the U.S. - India라이브 바카라 biggest trade partner. The bilateral trade reached $190 billion, with an ambitious target of $500 billion.

“The visit will provide an opportunity for both sides to review the progress in bilateral relations and the implementation of the outcomes of the India-U.S. Joint Statement issued on February 13, 2025, during the visit of the Prime Minister to the US,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

India and the U.S. are members of the Quad, along with Australia and Japan, a four-nation body that aims to check China라이브 바카라 rising influence in the subcontinent.

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently finished his tour of South Asian countries, including Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Tensions between the U.S. and China are also high due to an intense tariff war.

JD Vance will depart for Washington, D.C., on April 24, 2025.
