The Indian pacer has been outstanding in both home and away conditions, taking 71 wickets in 13 matches with an astonishing average of just 14.92.

"Bumrah was the standout bowler in the world in 2024, excelling in both home and away conditions and proving a key contributor in keeping India in contention in the ICC World Test Championship standings," the ICC stated in a press release.

After his return to Test cricket in late 2023 post a back injury, 31-year-old quickly became a regular in India's bowling attack, and the ICC crowned him the best bowler of the year 2024 for some key contributions in varying ICC World Test Championship standings.

Bumrah was instrumental in making India win the series against England and Bangladesh at home, apart from showing awesome performances amid South Africa and Australia away conditions.
