In the first official statement after India launches Operation Sindoor, the Defence Ministry confirmed that the intense unprovoked firing by Pakistan along the Line of Control has led to the loss of 16 innocent Indian lives, and our forces acted decisively to silence the hostile fire.
In an official statement by the Ministry of Defence said that on the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles, all of which were effectively neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems.
"In response, Indian Armed Forces targeted Air Defence Radars and systems in various locations in Pakistan. The intense unprovoked firing by Pakistan along the Line of Control has led to the loss of 16 innocent Indian lives, and our forces acted decisively to silence the hostile fire," they added.
Furthermore, they said, that India라이브 바카라 response has been in the same domain, with the same intensity, and remains focused, measured, and is non-escalatory.
Operation Sindoor
Tension escalated after the Indian armed forces on early Wednesday carried out a missile strike on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok), including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke, in retaliation for the April 22 deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which killed 26 people.
